When someone you care about is experiencing domestic and family violence it can be distressing. You may feel unsure about what to say or do. The good news is that thoughtful actions can make a significant difference. How you respond, especially how you listen and speak with them, can have a powerful impact. It's important to know that reaching out in a safe and respectful way is better than saying nothing at all.
We all have a role to play in ending domestic and family violence. The first steps include listening without judgment, educating ourselves, and offering compassionate support. Change begins with each of us.
This workshop is designed to equip women with the skills and confidence to support others who are experiencing or have experienced domestic and family violence. Participants will learn how to recognise signs of abuse, respond safely and respectfully, and connect others to appropriate support services. The session is practical, empowering, and grounded in trauma-informed, non-judgmental approaches. It’s for any woman who wants to stand beside others in their community and be part of creating a safer, more supportive world - no prior experience is needed.
